What is it?
Tarkett®
SoundReductionSystem features a chlorinefree compact foam with closed
cell structure: the outstanding acoustic absorption properties in the
high
frequencies of a heavy mass are combined with a strong reduction of
sound transmitted to the level below.
How does it
work?
Tarkett® SRS provides mass to block sound.
When sound passes through the SRS under-layer, it creates vibrations. Non
porous, extremely dense yet soft, the
SRS solution will absorb vibrations and
stop transmission. As such not only does SRS prevent sound from bouncing back,
it also inhibits sound from travelling into the room below
What are the results?
With Tarkett® SRS,
the ambient noise is perceived to be 20% quieter than with a standard laminate
flooring (SL20), and the transmission noise reduction level reaches D19 dB.
Tarkett® SRS features a high level performance
with a reduction of the disturbing noise (in the high frequencies) of 9 dB (A).
A performance highly perceptible in commercial areas with heavy
traffic.
